PRODUCT: CANDLES
Burning Instructions & Making your candles last
Your candle arrives with the wick already trimmed to the ideal length. Properly burning your candle for the first time is essential to ensure an even burn and maximize the life of your candle.
First Burn
Light your candle and allow it to burn for approximately 2–3 hours. This creates a full wax pool and helps prevent tunneling, ensuring an optimal burn every time. A small edge of wax will remain at each burn, which will naturally blend in and be used during subsequent burns.
Ongoing Use
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn to maintain a steady flame and reduce soot. Burn your candle for 2–3 hours at a time, but never longer than 4 hours. During this time, the flame will gradually lower as the wax around the sides melts. Any remaining wax along the edges will continue to be used in subsequent burns, helping to prevent the jar from overheating.
Important Safety Note
Never move a lit candle. The glass container can become very hot, especially as the flame lowers. Choose a stable, heat-resistant surface before lighting your candle, and allow it to burn undisturbed. Always burn the candle within sight. Keep away from flammable objects. Keep away from children and pets. Trim wick to 1/4'' before lighting. Keep the candle free from foreign objects, including wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 consecutive hours. Stop use when only 1/2'' of wax remains. Avoid drafty areas. Do not use lid to extinguish flame.
Why should I choose a Beeswax candle?
Beeswax candles are one of the purest, most natural ways to bring light and warmth into your space. Unlike paraffin candles, which are made from petroleum byproducts, beeswax is a completely natural substance created by honeybees. It burns cleanly, without releasing toxins or synthetic fragrances into the air. With a naturally subtle honey scent and a long, bright burn, beeswax candles offer a luxurious experience that’s also eco-conscious and sustainable. They don’t just light a room, they connect you to nature, to the bees, and to the rhythm of slow, intentional living.
Choosing a beeswax candle means choosing quality, purity, and care, for yourself, your home, and the planet.

Are Bees Harmed in the Process of Making Beeswax?
No, when done responsibly, bees are not harmed in the process of harvesting beeswax. Bees naturally produce beeswax as part of their hive-building process. Ethical beekeepers only collect excess wax, typically from the caps that bees use to seal honey in the comb. This wax is gently removed during the honey harvesting process, without disturbing the bees or damaging their hive. Sustainable beekeeping practices ensure that:
- Bees have plenty of honey left for their own food needs.
- Only surplus wax is taken.
- Hives are kept healthy and intact.
In fact, many small-scale and ethical beekeepers go to great lengths to protect and support their colonies, seeing themselves more as caretakers than producers. When you buy products made with responsibly sourced beeswax, you’re often helping to support bee populations and promote more sustainable agriculture.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in Austin, Texas. We source our beeswax from beekeepers in the United States to make sure the quality is outstanding. We never source our beeswax internationally.
Are the ingredients organic?
Beeswax
We believe in keeping our beeswax pure and natural. That’s why we only source our beeswax within the United States of America. Unlike some imported waxes (even those labeled "organic"), American beeswax is subject to stricter regulations that limit the use of harmful chemicals in beekeeping. Unfortunately, many foreign beeswax products have been found to contain pesticide residues or contaminants, even when certified as ''organic''.
While terms like “organic” may sound appealing, truly organic beeswax is nearly impossible to guarantee. Bees can forage up to 5 miles from their hive, which means we can’t control every flower they visit or ensure the land is 100% organic. Rather than rely on labels, we focus on quality, purity, and transparency.
Coconut oil
We use organic coconut oil in our candles.
Can I return my jar after I'm done burning my candle?
Please consider recycling or repurposing your jars once your candle has finished burning. While we’re currently unable to accept them for reuse, we love seeing the creative ways our customers give them a second life!
